"Traces of Yugoslavia” virtual exhibition employs images and digital media to recreate the history and memory of former Yugoslavia, guiding visitors through the glory and trauma that unfolded on this land in the twentieth century. As a community composed of multiple ethnicities, religions, and languages, Yugoslavia once embodied the possibility of cultural interweaving but fell into bloody wars and disintegration driven by nationalism and political conflict.

The project seeks to transcend geographical and physical boundaries through virtual space, enabling a global audience to engage with this complex history. More than a reconstruction of Yugoslavia’s
past, this exhibition is a warning and a reflection on war, memory, and peace.
